For sale is this early Young's Pridex. Measuring 3 1/2 inches the Pridex, with a fixed check is a right hand wind reel. With the original box, the reel has considerable wear to the edge but mechanically it is still smooth with a nice, strong click. There is a slight bend to the front rim (see the third picture) but there is no contact with the spool which runs freely. I'm asking $45.00 shipped Priority w/ deliver confirmation. Steve This 3" Young's Pridex, made in Nov. 1963 and boxed for Garcia, is set for left hand wind but with the symmetrical check, can be set for either right or left. The reel seems as if it has never been fished, if so - maybe once or twice. The only issue besides the few wear marks from handling and storage is a slight inconsistency, in one spot, on the radius of the reel's outer frame, either from manufacturing or where it was bumped sometime along the way. I had it for two weeks before I even noticed it. Still, a very nice, clean example of an early sixties Young's reel. I'm asking 100.00 shipped Priority. Paypal (plus fee), check or M.O. are fine.
